What is the purpose of the amber and green LEDs found between the SP ejection handles on CX4-120C, CX4-240C and CX4-480C models?

Fix        The LEDs display the POST codes from the storage processor (SP).

One set of amber LEDs is on the left-side ejection handle.

Another set of green LEDs is on the right-side ejection handle.

The linked illustration shows the normal state of the LEDs and their relative position between the SP removal handles.

Note       For any issues with POST error codes, please contact Technical Support.

Note       These LEDs are used in a BIOS POST task during the first 30 seconds of the boot process to aid in board development.  The LEDs are planned to be removed in a future version of Storage Processor hardware.

Note       As of Q1/09 manufacturing no longer installs the LEDs in new Storage Processors.
